We’re Hoping to Adopt
Hello from Florida!
We feel called to be parents because we are excited to share our lives, our love, and our family with a child. We look forward to all the everyday moments of parenthood, helping with homework, celebrating milestones, creating traditions, and simply being there through every stage of life. The life we have built together is one that we love, and we cannot wait to share it with a child through adoption.
For us, family is about the little things we do every day together. We love walking our dog, sharing meals, talking about our day, reading side by side, and spending time with family and friends. Those moments mean the most to us.

Our friends and family often tell us how much they admire the marriage we have built and how obvious it is that we genuinely enjoy being together. They describe us as dependable, always willing to help, and people who try to find the good in every situation. Most of all, they know how much we value family, friendship, and the people we love.

About Us
We have big extended families and many nieces and nephews. Two of them were adopted, and we have been part of their lives since the very beginning. We absolutely adore them, and watching them grow into happy, loved children has given us a firsthand appreciation for the beauty of adoption and reinforced our belief that family is built through love.
We hope our child feels loved, secure, and surrounded by people who truly care. Our goal is to make childhood feel joyful, full of family, good memories, and shared traditions, and to bring the confidence that comes from knowing you are loved exactly as you are and that we will always be there, no matter what.
Favorites & Fun Facts
Our First Jobs
María’s first job was at a public relations agency, and she loved it because she learned so much.
Fernando started working when he was 15 or 16, balancing jobs with school, and his first job was selling Iberian pork products. He enjoyed it because it taught him responsibility, confidence, and the value of hard work from an early age.
A perfect day…
A perfect day would start with a slow breakfast together, followed by a walk with Molly. We would spend time outdoors, maybe at the beach or sailing on the bay, enjoy a good meal with family or friends, and end the day on the porch watching the sunset and talking about our day.
Advice we live by
A piece of advice that has always stayed with us is: “Do your best and leave the rest in God’s hands.” It has guided us through many of life’s challenges and reminds us to focus on what we can do each day while trusting in God’s loving providence.
Favorite season
Although we love fall, summer is one of our favorite seasons since we live along the Gulf Coast. We love spending time outdoors, taking walks with Molly, going to the beach, sailing on the bay, and enjoying long evenings on the porch with family and friends.
More About Us
When We Were Kids
We both loved spending time outdoors and being with family. Some of our favorite childhood memories are of playing with cousins, riding bikes, exploring, and making up games that kept us outside for hours. María also loved playing the piano, while Fernando was always happiest playing sports.
If We Could Go Back in Time…
We would not go back to any other time. We have been fortunate to have a very happy life together, and every stage has brought us to where we are today. Right now, we have a strong marriage, a life we love, and all our excitement focused on welcoming a child through adoption. We feel our best chapter is still ahead of us.
Favorite Foods
We love Spanish food, especially tortilla de patata. It has always been part of family gatherings, celebrations, and everyday meals. Every time we make it, it reminds us of home and time spent with the people we love.
Our Neighborhood
We love the sense of community where we live. Our neighborhood is beautiful, safe, peaceful, and family-friendly, with parks, water views, and welcoming neighbors. It feels like a wonderful place to raise a child.
