About Us
Our greatest accomplishment is the strong, loving marriage we have built over half of our lives together. It is the foundation of our family and something we are deeply grateful for.
Laughter
We laugh every day about something. It might be a funny story, a joke between us, or something silly our dog Molly does. We are both naturally optimistic and cheerful people, and we often laugh about funny things that happen at work or in everyday life. We enjoy sharing those stories with each other at the end of the day.
Holidays
Christmas is our favorite holiday because it brings together the things we value most: faith, family, and time together. We love gathering with relatives, sharing meals, attending Mass, and celebrating family traditions.
Talents
María has always had a natural artistic side. She has played the piano since childhood and loves beauty in all its forms, from music to gardening. That same sensitivity carries into her relationships, especially with her nieces and nephews, whom she loves deeply and cares for with great attention and affection.
Fernando is naturally good at connecting with people. Whether with children, friends, or patients, he has a way of making others feel comfortable and understood, which is one of the reasons he loves working with children.
We have different talents, but one thing that comes naturally to both of us is building strong relationships. We genuinely enjoy people, and some of our closest friendships have lasted for decades.

Our Thoughts on Adoption
We want you to feel peace knowing your child is deeply loved, cherished, and cared for every day. We will always speak about you with gratitude and respect, honoring your place in your child’s story. We want your child to grow up knowing that his or her story began with love and understanding the love behind your adoption decision.
We would love a child to experience the warmth of a close family. Some of our favorite childhood memories are of long summers with cousins, family meals, and knowing there was always someone who loved and cared for us.
We want to teach a child to love and care for others. The people in our lives have always been our greatest blessing, and we hope our child grows up knowing the joy that comes from loving, helping, and being there for others.
Favorite Songs
Main theme from Life Is Beautiful because it is María’s favorite movie, and it was playing when we entered the reception on our wedding day.
Gabriel’s Oboe (The Mission) because we both love the piece and the values it represents: faith, purpose, and hope.
I Promise Myself by Nick Kamen because it reminds us of our childhood and our siblings. Whenever it comes on, we cannot help but smile, sing along, and start dancing.
Canticorum Jubilo because it was the song María walked down the aisle to at our wedding. Every time we hear it, it brings back that special moment.
Por Una Cabeza because we both love the film Scent of a Woman. It is also tied to a very special memory: María’s sister, a cellist, once surprised us by performing it and dedicating it to us in public.
Challenges…
One of the greatest challenges we have faced was coming to terms with not being able to have biological children. It was a difficult journey, but it brought us closer together and taught us to focus on the many blessings in our lives. We learned the importance of investing in our marriage, supporting one another, and growing stronger as a couple through difficult times. We also learned that not everything unfolds according to our plans, and that hope, faith, and love can carry you through life’s challenges. Our advice would be to give yourself grace, lean on the people who love you, and use difficult seasons as an opportunity to strengthen the relationships that matter most.
3 things we would take with us on a deserted island
Each other, because neither of us would enjoy being there alone. A good book, because we both love reading. And our dog Molly, because no adventure would be complete without her.
If we could also take 5 movies to the island…
Life Is Beautiful because it is María’s favorite movie. We love its message of finding hope, joy, and love even in difficult circumstances, and the extraordinary lengths a parent will go to protect and care for their child. It was also playing when we entered the reception on our wedding day.
A Few Good Men because it is Fernando’s favorite movie since he was a kid. He admires its themes of integrity, responsibility, and standing up for what is right.
The Mission because its message of faith, purpose, sacrifice, and service has always resonated deeply with us.
Scent of a Woman because we both love the film, and because it reminds us of a very special memory when María’s sister, a cellist, surprised us by performing “Por Una Cabeza” as a dedication to us.
Gladiator. We just love it.
A Typical Weekend…
Our weekends are usually relaxed and centered around spending time together. We enjoy long walks with Molly, reading, going to the beach, sailing when the weather is nice, and meeting friends or neighbors. On Sundays, we attend Mass and often cook a nice meal at home before enjoying a quiet afternoon together.
